The managers of apartment buildings located in Botanica district of Chisinau can take part in information sessions centering on the procedure for reorganizing the housing sector into Condominium Owners Associations, as it is provided in the Condominium Law, on March 16 and on April 20.

In a news conference at IPN, Ianuș Cușnir, executive director of the employers association Associations of Condominium Co-owners, said that under the Condominium Law that was adopted by Parliament last yearend, all the existing block management forms will be reorganized into Condominium Owners Associations. The information sessions will involve experts of the General Public Amenities Division of Chisinau and representatives of the Public Services Agency.

The participants will learn how to initiate the reorganization procedure and will receive free logistic, legal and organizational support. Those who want to take part in the first information session should come to the festivity hall of the Botanic district head’s office on March 16, starting at 10:30am.

“The reorganization should be performed independently as, according to the legislation, if the manager does not initiate the reorganization procedure, the state becomes involved, removes the legal entity from the Cadaster and the Chisinau City Hall, by a contest, names a professional manager who does not live in that block without taking into account the position of the block’s dwellers,” stated Ianuș Cușnir.

Adrian Bytko, coordinator of the project “Optimization of the administration of building managers of Botanica district of Chisinau municipality”, said that besides the provision of direct support, as part of the project the organizers also aim to design a set of instructions for managers. They cooperate with the Chisinau City Hall, the Apartment Building Managers Control Section so as to familiarize the managers with the new legislation.

Angela Lazarenko, president of the Sector Committee for Professional Formation in the Field of Financial Intermediation and Insurance, Real Estate Transactions, said the Committee launched this project in a move to facilitate the social dialogue between the authorities and business entities working in the field. The partners involved in this effort aim to continuously form the apartment building managers. The second information project will be launched this autumn. This is intended for the apartment building managers of Buiucani district.

The project was thought up and approved by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
