The manager of a number transport companies was arrested on suspicion of traffic of influence. According to the National Anticorruption Center, the man is suspected of asking for €8,000 from the owner of other carriers, IPN reports.
According to the denouncer, the suspect promised he will help him obtain the documents needed to provide transport services through the agency of functionaries of the National Auto Transport Agency.
The National Anticorruption Center started a criminal case over traffic of influence and documented the transmission of the money in three installments. Upon a search at the suspect’s home and in his car, the anticorruption officers found and seized over 300,000 lei.
The suspect was placed under arrest for 72 hours and faces seven years behind bars.
