When a 33-year-old man was pulled over by the Riscani town traffic police for a routine papers check, he disobeyed and, losing his nerve, pulled a hand grenade and threatened the officers in the hopes of getting away, Info-Prim Neo learned from a press release issued by the Traffic Police. As the officers attempted to restrain the driver, he threw the grenade to his passenger, a 21-year-old man, who tried to hide it. Both the driver and the passenger were arrested and taken to the Riscani Police Commissariat. The RGD-5 grenade, a Soviet antipersonnel fragmentation weapon containing 10 grams of TNT, was found and neutralized.
