Man that stabbed his grandmother gets 20 years in prison

A man, 22, was sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment by the Centru District Court for slaying his grandmother, Info-Prim Neo learned from the General Prosecutor's Office. According to the prosecution, the man was drunk when he started a fight with his grandmother, whom he repeatedly hit and kicked in anger. After that, the grandson stabbed the woman several times with a kitchen knife. The woman died shortly due to severe blood loss. Psychiatric investigation showed the man was mentally sane at the time of the murder and acted with malice. The judgment is appealable.
