Man that beat mother to death gets 14 years in jail

A man was condemned by the Rascani District Court to 14 years in prison for beating his mother to death. The prosecution established that the man became aggressive because of some financial misunderstandings with his mother and hit her repeatedly until she lost consciousness. The woman died in hospital shorty after the attack. The man was sentenced under Art 151(4) of the Criminal Code – grievous, life-threatening bodily harm, inflicted upon a close relative out of material reasons, which resulted in death.
