A 48-year-old man living in Anenii Noi was arrested on suspicion that he had sex with three minor girls aged 11, 14 and 15 during a year. He will be held on remand for 30 days initially, IPN reports, quoting the General Police Inspectorate.
It was established that the man looked for potential victims among girls from socially deprived families and lured them with valuable presents and money.
With her parents’ consent, one of the victims travelled to the Russian region Tyumen, where she was sexually abused.
The man faces three to seven years behind bars.
