Man shoots friend accidentally when boasting about gun

A man from Valea Perjei village of Taraclia district wanted to boast about his gun to his fiends, but shot a friend as a result of a moment’s inattention. The man held the gun illegally, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Ministry of the Interior. The man who was shot and several other men were at the farm of a co-villager on a visit. When they started to discuss firearms, the farm owner decided to surprise his friends with a hunter’s gun. When he was taking the gun out, he accidentally pulled the trigger and the bullet penetrated the abdomen of one of the men. When questioned by the police, the suspect said initially that he found the victim on the road, but then confessed the incident. The wounded man is in a serious, but stable condition. The owner of the gun faces a fine of up to 6,000 lei or up to two years’ imprisonment.
