Man sets fire to mother-in-law’s house

A man set his mother-in-law’s house on fire on Saturday in Chisinau's suburban village of Bacioi. The representative of the Firemen and Rescuers Division, Liliana Puscasu, told Info-Prim Neo that the neighbors noticed the flames and helped to extinguish the fire. The arsonist is currently under criminal investigation. On Sunday, at around 7.30 PM, a shed belonging to a man from Calarasi District took fire. The building had burned down before the firemen arrived, so that they only succeeded to localize the fire and prevent it from extending to a nearby house. The damages are being estimated. A sauna caught fire because the fireplace was overheated. The accident took place on Monday morning in Inesti, Telenesti district. The fire destroyed the roof, the furniture and the ceiling. The damage is estimated at around 30,000 lei. A wooden drying room situated on Muncesti Street in Chisinau took fire. 45 square meters of the drying room were affected by fire, while 5 fire crew from different districts of the city joined efforts to localize it. 5 fires were registered in Moldova over the last 24 hours, and 31 during the last week, causing the death of 2 persons.
