Man seriously injured in traffic accident

A serious accident happened at the intersection of Mihai Eminescu and 31 August streets on Wednesday morning, August 10. A Renault car collided with a Volkswagen. One of the drivers was hospitalized in the intensive care unit. Petru Cravet, spokesman of the National Center of Emergency Medicine, told Info-Prim Neo that the 45 year old driver of the Renault suffered a brain trauma, cerebral contusion, fractured his right arm and slipped into a first degree coma. The other driver is unharmed. Aurelia Mija, inspector of the Traffic Police Public Relations Service, told Info-Prim Neo the accident happened around 5 AM. The circumstances remain unknown. The 22 year old driver of the Volkswagen is thought to be responsible for the accident, but the case is still being investigated.
