Man seriously injured in Cricova intersection

A man was seriously injured on Tuesday in the intersection to Cricova, being admitted to the Emergency Hospital. According to the Traffic Police, the accident happened at around 9 PM on the Chisinau-Cricova motorway. An Opel violently hit a young man aged between 20 and 25, who is currently unidentified. He was transported to the hospital with multiple traumas, including head trauma and brain coma. A 56-year old woman, while drunken, got hospitalised with multiple traumas, parietal hematoma, after being hit by a Ford at the entry to Ciorescu Village. Another woman, 58, was hospitalised with multiple injuries, head trauma and rib fractures. She called the Emergency Service from home at 4 PM, saying that she was injured at around 11 AM on Balcani Street in a hit and run accident. At around 11 AM, other two accidents happened, involving taxis. The first of them took place on Dacia Boulevard on the road to the International Airport, involving a car registered in Rezina District and a cab of the 1430 service. One of the drivers, of 22, suffered head trauma. In the second accident, an 82-year old pedestrian was caused head trauma. In the 3320 road accidents in 2007, 431 lost their lives and 2965 were injured.
