Man sentenced to 6.5 years in jail for robbery

A Cahul man, 20, was sentenced to 6 and a half years in prison for stealing ten WW2 medals and orders from a man at knife-point, the General Prosecutor's Office said in a communique. In January, the mugger broke into a man's house and, threatening him with a knife, took ten medals and orders left by the man's parents. The mugger was arrested on the same night and the medals valued at 1,000 lei were returned to the owner. The sentence is appealable.
