A Chisinau resident fell from the eighth floor of an apartment building located on Cuza Voda Blvd. in Botanica district on Tuesday evening. He suffered serious injuries, but remained alive.
Chisinau Ambulance Service coordinating doctor Evelina Rusu has told Info-Prim Neo that the man was conscious when the ambulance arrived. He told the doctors that he slipped. The 58-year-old man was not under the influence. He was rushed to the Emergency Hospital with an open fracture of the right femur, fractures of the pelvic bones and right shoulder and other traumas.
A man aged 35 died suddenly while sleeping, while another one of about 30 was found extremely drunk on the stairs of a building. A man of approximately 65 was discovered on a street in a similar state.
After having a quarrel with his parents, a 20-year-old woman took pills in order to kill herself. She was taken to Saint Trinity Hospital for detox.
Am ambulance team witnessed a quarrel between a drunken husband and his wife. The man insisted that his wife aged 37 took pills and must be hospitalized, while the woman said she swallowed no pills and did not need medical care. After checking the family's medicine store and seeing there were only harmless drugs there, the doctors left.
The Chisinau Ambulance Service yesterday and last night dealt with 658 emergencies, including 76 cases of acute viral infection, 56 cases of trauma, six strokes and 14 deliveries.
