Man prefers doing community service to paying child maintenance

The Briceni district court sentenced a 30-year-old man to 180 hours of community service because he did not pay maintenance to his disabled daughter during two years, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the man did not obey the decision passed by a court of Soroca district, which ordered that he pay the child maintenance. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
