Man perishes in road accident near Drochia

A driver died this morning in a tragic traffic accident on the Drochia – Suri route. The 62-year-old man was driving a Mazda, which made a U-turn and collided head-on with a Volkswagen-Transporter minibus driven by a man aged 24. Paulina Iakimovski, senior specialist at the Traffic Police Department's PR Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the wife of the man who died in the accident was rushed to the Drochia district hospital with a serious cranial-cerebral trauma, forehead wounds and a fracture of the left forearm. The 218 road accidents that occurred in Moldova this year resulted in 29 deaths and 320 persons injured.
