A 66-year-old man was struck to death by a car on a road in Ștefan Vodă district, IPN reports.
According to the police, the accident occurred near the village of Olănești. On the spot, the police preliminarily established that a 32-year-old driver hit the jaywalking pedestrian by his car.
Following the impact, the man died before an ambulance arrived. The driver tested negative for alcohol. A criminal case was started on this case to establish all the circumstances.
