Man murdered in Chisinau

A 38-year-old man was killed last night in Chisinau. Anatol Proca, coordinating doctor at the Emergency Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the man was found dead at around 22.00 on Pitulicii Street in Posta Veche quarter. The doctors determined that the man was stabbed with a knife in the main artery on the right side of the neck. The man died within seconds. The police are investigating the case. A party with a lot of drink ended in a quarrel between the mother and her 30-year-old son. The woman tried to stab her son, who was a drug addict, touching him with the blade of the knife in the lumbar region. Fortunately, the wound was not deep. After the doctors dressed the wound, the mother and son were taken to the police department. A man aged 65 was found lying unconscious in his garage situated on Negru Voda Street. He got poisoned with the gas emitted by a portable heating stove. A Chisinau police officer driving a Lexus lost control of the car and crashed into another two cars. The accident happened at about 19.00 on Vasile Lupu Street. The policeman suffered mental shock. The other persons involved in the accident were not injured. The policeman’s car was completely crushed, while the other two cars are in need of repair. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Emergency Service has received 727 calls, dealing with 55 cases of trauma, 9 brain strokes, 75 cases of acute viral infections, including four cases of supposed meningitis.
