Man kills mother with hammer and leaves body to putrefy in house

A 51-year-old man has killed his mother with a hammer. The body of the woman aged 73 was found in an apartment in Chisinau's Buiucani district. The General Police Commissariat said the man admitted his guilt, Info-Prim Neo reports. The old woman lived in the apartment together with her son and daughter-in-law, who wasn't at home when the tragedy happened. On December 25 in the evening, the son came into conflict with his mother. He took a hammer and hit the woman in the head for several times. He than stabbed her in the heart. The old woman died on the spot. It was the woman's daughter-in-law who called the police. She was receiving treatment at a hospital in Chisinau. On December 27, she went home and found her mother-in-law dead. The man is under arrest. He faces 8 to 15 years in jail for murder.
