Man killed in traffic accident

A man died after he was struck by a car on the Chisinau – Soroca road on Wednesday, Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic has told Info-Prim Neo. The accident happened at about 6pm. The man was crossing the street when he was hit by a Peugeot heading for Soroca town. The pedestrian died on the spot. He did not have identification papers on him so that the traffic police are trying to establish who he is and where he lived. A 14-year-old minor driving a motorcycle through Cioara village, Hancesti, lost control of the vehicle and crashed it into a utility pole. He was admitted to the hospital with different injuries. A pedestrian was struck by a Scoda Octavia driven by a man aged 26 on the Hancesti – Leova – Cahul road. He was rushed to the hospital in a serious condition. The identity of the man has not been yet established. The six accidents that happened on the national roads yesterday and last night resulted in one death and five persons injured.
