A serious accident occurred in Chisinau’s Botanica district. A man aged 50 died in the evening of March 16 after the car he was driving collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Valea Crucii St and Dacia Blvd, IPN reports.
Contacted by IPN, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir said the man travelled along Valea Crucii St and intended to turn to Dacia Blvd. He was to give way to another car coming from the direction of the Botanical Garden also along Valea Crucii St. The two cars collided in the intersection.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the 50-year-old driver got stuck in the damaged car and was taken out by an extrication team. He was given first aid and was rushed to the hospital, but didn’t survive. The other driver, 25, was unhurt. There were no occupants besides the drivers in the two cars.
