Man killed for refusing to lend money

A man is suspected to have killed a 23 year old man and injured another one, aged 24, after they had refused to lend him money to pay his debts at the casino where he was working, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a press release of the Ministry of the Interior, the crime happened last night, near a filling station in Balti. The suspect has been arrested. He is an operator at a casino in the city. Last night he came to the filling station, where he had worked, to ask his former mates to lend him money. The suspect and the victims drank a few beers. Angered by his former mates’ refusal to lend him money, he attacked them with a knife and then took 30,000 lei from the cash desk and few fuel tickets. Under the Criminal Code of Moldova, murder and the premeditated serious injury of bodily integrity or health is punishable by 8 to 15 years of jail.
