Man killed, five injured in head-on crash

A man died instantly in a head-on crash on Balti-Falesti-Sculeni roadway after he drove his VAZ car the wrong way and collided with a Rover.
Traffic Police reported that the accident happened on Thursday around midnight. The Rover driver and four passengers accompanying him, including two children, were admitted to hospital with various injuries.
Rescue team intervention was required to recover the body of the 41-year-old man from the wreckage of his car. The man lived in Catranic village, Falesti district. He was a father of two.
