The police arrested three men from Codreni, Cimislia on suspicion that they beat a villager to death. The suspects are aged 26, 28 and 53, IPN has learned from the Ministry of the Interior.
In the evening when the incident happened, the suspects were near the wood in Codreni village. They wanted to cut several trees. The victim, who was the son-in-law of the woodman, saw them and told them to leave. A quarrel arouse between the men, which degenerated into a fight.
The man was found dead in the wood, with signs of violent death. The suspects admitted their guilt. If they are found guilty, they will serve up to 15 years in prison.
