Man injures wife, daughter and mother-in-law with knife

Several members of a family from Zaim village of Causeni district were admitted to the hospital with stab wounds. A drunken man came home and stabbed his wife several times with a kitchen knife. Afterward, he injured his daughter and mother-in-law as well. When the police arrived, the man tried to cut his throat. Causeni district commissioner Valeriu Galbineanu has told Info-Prim Neo that the incident happened in the evening of May 23. When the man returned home, his wife and mother-in-law were involved in repair works. The women rebuked him and told him to go to sleep. They started to quarrel and the man took a kitchen knife and stabbed his wife in the abdomen and the back. The mother-in-law intervened and was also stabbed. The children witnessed the whole scene. The 40-year-old did not hesitate to hit his elder daughter aged 20. Only the two minor boys were unhurt. The neighbors took the three women to the hospital. When the police officers arrived, they found the man with a stab wound in the neck. The four are now in the surgical ward of the Causeni hospital. The daughter and wife of the attacker were transferred to the surgical war after spending several hours in the reanimatology division. The condition of the patients is stable.
