Man gets life sentence for raping and murdering 4-year-old

A Soroca man was sentenced to life imprisonment for raping and murdering a 4-year-old girl, the General Prosecutor's Office announced in a press release. The prosecution found that, in April, the 27-year-old man was drinking alcohol together with the girl's mother at the latter's place when the woman went out to buy some more. Left alone with the girl, the man first raped her and then strangled her to death. The sentence is appealable.
