A 35-year-old man from Calarasi district was sentenced to life imprisonment for sexually abusing his minor daughters. The prosecution established that the culprit raped the girls during seven years, when their mother wasn’t at home, IPN reports.
The girls were afraid to tell what happened to them as their father threatened them that he will beat them. Now the girls are aged 13 and, respectively, 10. They were questioned in special conditions, with the assistance of a psychologist. During the hearings, the prosecutors found out that the victims’ mother was often beaten by the culprit, who abused alcohol.
The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
