A man was electrocuted, while another one suffered an electric shock as a result of an incident in a 10 kV overhead power line in Ialoveni town. A special commission of the National Agency for Energy Regulation and the law enforcement agencies are investigating the circumstances of the case, IPN reports.
According to Premier Energy Distribution, the men were drivers of a heavy truck. They decided to raise the bucket while the truck was under electrical conductors, they being outside the vehicle. The metallic bucket successively touched two conductors, causing a short circuit. One of the drivers rushed to the cab to bring the bucket down and was electrocuted. The other driver wanted to help him and pulled him back, being also affected. The first driver could not be helped.
Premier Energy calls on the population and business entities to strictly respect the security norms in the protection area of electrical installations.
The distribution operator must be immediately informed about any cable defects on (022) 43 11 11 or the local operator whose data is indicated in the electricity bill.
