A man aged 54 will serve 20 years behind bars in a closed jail for sexually abusing an eight-year-old child. He admitted his blame, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, in December 2022 the man lured the child who lived in the neighborhood to his home in a village in central Moldova, where the sexual abuse was committed.
The man committed a similar act also at the minor’s home. Earlier, he had been convicted of theft, burglary and hooliganism.
The sentence can be appealed within 15 days.
