A 40-year-old man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexually abusing his minor stepdaughter for six years, the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The girl’s age has not been disclosed, with prosecutors only revealing that she was under 14 at the time of the crimes.
The girl was living only with her stepfather in an unnamed village in northern Moldova. The man was arrested in 2021, spending the pre-trial period in detention.
The sentence is not yet irreversible and may be appealed within 15 days.
