Man gets 13 years for killing son

A man from Ceadar-Lunga town was sentenced to 13 years in prison for murdering his son and brutally beating his wife, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the 69-year-old man, while under the influence of alcohol, started to quarrel with his son. The man took an ax and hit his son. The victim died on the spot. Earlier, the man had been tried for rape and theft. A shocking case happened in Criuleni district. A 17-year-old boy asked 100 lei from his grandmother in order to buy alcohol. The woman refused to give him money. Angry, the boy beat her and then stabbed her with a knife for several times. The woman died shortly afterward. The boy got 10 years.
