A man aged 40 was sentenced to 17 years and four months in jail for violent actions of a sexual character against his daughter aged seven. He was also convicted of domestic violence against his wife and their four minor children, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the trial was held according to a simplified procedure based on the collected evidence. The offender admitted his guilt and had the highest jail term cut by one third. He was held on remand.
At the request of the injured party, the court ordered the defended should pay 50,000 lei in respect of non-pecuniary damage.
The sentence is not final and can be challenged within 15 days.
