A man aged 40 from Cahul was sentenced to 16 years in jail for raping his minor daughter. The girl told teachers what happened and these informed the police, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, in 2016 the man started to be aggressive towards his minor daughter. He didn’t allow her to go to school and to talk to her mother who worked abroad. It was established that the man raped his daughter, who got pregnant.
Now the 17-year-old girl is in her mother’s care outside the country. The sentence can be challenged in court.
