A man aged 48 from Balabanesti village of Criuleni district is suspected of murdering his former female partner and of burying her in the garden of his house. The man was arrested and faces 15 years behind bars, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, on June 1 a woman informed the police that her female friend went missing. This didn’t answer the phone and wasn’t at home.
The police established that on the night of May 31, the 38-year-old victim was at the home of her ex-concubine. The two started to quarrel and the man assaulted her, causing her head injuries. To hide the crime, the man buried her at night in his garden and burned her phone and clothes.
As a result of searches, the police found the woman’s dead body in the man’s garden on June 6. This was taken to the legal examination service in Criuleni for an autopsy.
A criminal case was started over intentional murder.
