A young man from Causeni district was arrested on suspicion that he organized trafficking in narcotic substances of vegetal origin to Russia in collusion with other accomplices, IPN reports.
According to the police, as a result of searches at the suspect’s home, there was found nearly a sack of hemp plants that were to be processed and then sold. The police also seized an illegally held pistol whose origin is yet to be established.
The investigation goes on to determine all the circumstances and identity all the accomplices.
The suspect faces three to seven years behind bars.
