A 69-year-old man from Chircăiești village of Căușeni district was wounded fatally by a hunter in a forest situated close to Plop-Știubei village.
Press officer of the Căușeni Police Inspectorate Silvia Vetcu has told IPN that when at the scene the police established that the hunter aged 38 from Plop-Știubei held the gun legally and was hunting legally. It was preliminarily determined that he presumably fired at a fox, but actually wounded a reddish dog and his master who died immediately.
A criminal case was started over murder. The man is investigated outside remand. He faces up to 15 years behind bars. Other circumstances are being established.
