A man aged 46 from Cahul district was put on probation for three years and fined 40,000 lei for active corruption. He tried to bribe two patrolling police inspectors, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, in April 2013, after turning his motorcycle upside down, the man offered 500 lei to the police officers who came to the scene of the accident for not documenting the case. The policemen refused and informed the law enforcement bodies about the bribery.
The sentence is not yet definitive.
