A 60-year-old Chisinau man froze to death in the staircase of the block he was living in after being kicked out in the street by his own son. Silvia Babara, doctor coordinator of the Chisinau Emergency Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the man was found dead this morning in the stairway of a residential block on Belinski Street, holding a piece of pad in his hands which he apparently intended to sleep on. Preliminary investigations have shown that the man died from hypothermia. On Sunday early morning, three young men were attacked by unknown assaulters on Mateevici Street while walking home from a night club. One of them, aged 21, suffered fractures of the nasal bones, the second, also 21, brain concussion and occipital wound, and the third, 26, ended up with his left arm bruised. The case is handled by the police. On Sunday, Chisinau ambulances responded to 713 emergency calls, involving 65 cases of trauma and 3 brain strokes. The Traffic Police reported no accidents involving injuries or casualties on Sunday. On the same day, traffic officers fined 27 persons for drunk-driving.
