Man falls into lift shaft

A 38-year-old man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries that he received when he fell into a lift shaft, from a height of about 5 meters. The incident happened in a storehouse located on Columna St in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. Chisinau Ambulance Service managing doctor Eufalia Negreata said the man suffered an associated trauma and a traumatic shock, and was admitted to the Emergency Hospital. This May, a 17-year-old boy fell into a lift shaft from the fourth floor at a company in Chisinau’s Ciocana district. While falling, he got stuck into a cable and remained hanged with the head downwards for about 20 minutes. Half of the lifts in Chisinau have the working life expired. More than 1,000 lifts should be replaced.
