Man dies several hours after struck by car

A man was hit by a car on Mihai Viteazu St in Chisinau and died several hours later at the Emergency Hospital According to the General Police Commissariat, the accident happened on Thursday at about 16.00, near the skating rink. The man suffered severe brain trauma, concussion and skull fracture. He died at about 21.00. An Opel struck a 75-year-old woman in a backyard on Moscova Blvd. The woman suffered mental shock. A four-year-old girl from Seseni village of Calarasi district, who was in Chisinau together with her mother, was hit by a car and was hospitalized with different bodily injuries. A boy aged 9 was struck by a Volkswagen-Golf and was rushed to Valentin Ignatenco Hospital with a concussion. A 27-year-old woman was taken to hospital after she had been injured in a traffic accident near the Botanical Garden. Five road accidents happened in Chisinau on Thursday. They resulted in one death and four persons injured.
