A man, 47, died after falling from a cherry tree in a Chisinau yard on Sunday. Dr. Eufalia Negreata of the Chisinau Emergency Service has told Info-Prim Neo that the man payed a visit to a friend of his on Mitropolit Dosoftei Street and decided to climb a cherry tree in the yard to gather some fruits. He slipped and fell, hitting his head on a curbstone. The man was already dead when the ambulance crew arrived. A nameless man in his early 40s was found dead on Ginta Latina Street. Another one, 52, suffered sudden death while taking a bath. Same day, four men, with ages ranging from 43 to 54, died of cancer. A coachman from Chisinau's suburban town of Vadul lui Voda was hospitalized in critical condition after his horses got scared and ran away in different directions, dragging the coach on top of the man. With head trauma, severe cerebral contusion and other injuries, the victim was admitted to the Emergency Hospital. A 32-year-old man drowned in a pond in Chisinau's Rascani district. The case is investigated by the police. Two children, a 3-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, suffered head injuries after the car driven at high speeds by their father overturned. They were admitted to Valentin Ignatenco Hosp. On Sunday, the Chisinau Emergency Service recorded 720 calls, including 82 cases of acute viroses, 70 cases of trauma, and 4 brain strokes.
