A man aged 34 from Grimancauti village of Briceni district was killed and then beheaded by a villager. The 32-year-old suspect wanted to bury the body in the yard of his house, but the police prevented him, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, the dispatcher’s office of the Briceni Police Inspectorate was informed that a resident of Grimancauti committed a murder. When on the spot, the police officers found the suspect hiding in a shed near his house. It was later established that in the evening of June 15, the two drank alcoholic beverages together and then started to quarrel. As a result, the suspect stabbed the victim 40 times in the chest with a knife and then decapitated him.
The man faces 15 to 20 years behind bars or life imprisonment for very cruel murder.
