Man crushed between two trucks

A man was rushed to the Orhei district hospital after he had been seriously injured in an accident on the Chisinau-Soroca road, not far from Orhei town, on Monday evening. Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic has told Info-Prim Neo that a truck driven by a man aged 59 stopped by the roadside owing to a breakdown. It was dark, but the driver did not switch the lights on. While the man was repairing the vehicle, a KAMAZ struck the truck from behind, where there was the driver. He received multiple traumas and was taken to the hospital. A speeding Mercedes E-230 skidded at a curb and overturned not far from Zaim village of Causeni district. The 27-year-old driver was admitted to the hospital with a concussion, cranial-cerebral trauma and facial injuries. Eleven persons were hurt in eight accidents that happened on the national roads on Monday and on Tuesday night. Another 25 traffic accidents caused no victims.
