A man was caught by the police after trying to bribe a policeman. The man, aged 34, gave 8,000 lei to an employee of the Criminal Police Direction. He tried to persuade the officer to release his nephew, arrested for trading narcotics, reads a release of the Interior Ministry, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. According to law, the young man risks up to 20 years of jail. After trying to help his relative, the man was immediately arrested. Those 40 banknotes of 200 lei each were lifted, and the suspect is penally searched. If found guilty of “active corruption,” he risks up to 12 years of imprisonment.
