Man beats his mother to death

The police arrested a man from Hancesti town, suspected of having beaten his mother to death. The man ran from home and didn't even attend the woman's funeral in order to avoid arrest. According to the Ministry of the Interior, one evening the man returned drunk from work and picked an argument with his mother. He beat the 54 year old woman with his fists and feet. The victim died two days later. The suspect was announced wanted and was arrested a month after the crime. He is charged with domestic violence that led to the death of the victim, which is punishable by 5 to 15 years in jail.
