The 33-year-old man from Cricova who a year ago killed a woman aged 20 and threw her dismembered body on the bank of a lake near Grătiești commune was sentenced to 15 years in jail. The prosecutors intend to seek life imprisonment for the convict in the Appeals Court, IPN reports.
The crime was committed in the man’s house where the aggressor and the victim had a quarrel. The man stabbed the young woman to death and then dismembered the body and put it into a bag. By a taxi, he travelled to Grătiești where he threw parts of the body in different places on the bank of the lake.
The man was arrested in several days and was held on remand until he learned his verdict. He pleaded not guilty.
