Makeup of new Government to be discussed Monday at extraordinary Parliament meeting

The program and the makeup of the new Cabinet of Ministers nominated by Zinaida Grecanyi will be examined on Monday, March 31, at an extraordinary Parliament meeting, Info-Prim Neo reports, citing an announcement made today by Speaker Marian Lupu. The Opposition MPs demanded that all the materials for the upcoming meeting, including the list of nominations, be distributed by the end of the day. Marian Lupu promised to do his best to make sure that the parliamentarians had the requested materials in due time so that they can examine them. The list of nominations will also be presented shortly, but “negotiations are still continuing”, the Speaker mentioned. The Parliament accepted the Government’s resignation on March 21. The next day, President Vladimir Voronin issued a decree nominating Zinaida Grecanyi for the Prime-Minister’s seat and authorizing her to draft a program for the new Government and nominate its new members.
