Major power outage briefly disrupts trolley traffic in Chisinau

A major power failure caused all the about 200 trolleybuses in Chisinau to halt on Wednesday at around 10:30. Transport Electric Company head Gheorghe Morgoci told Info-Prim Neo that trolleybus traffic was entirely disrupted for about 10 minutes, after which electricity supply was started to be resumed in each district at a time, meaning that in some areas trolleybuses had to wait for 20 minutes until they could run again. A smaller outage occurred soon after that, at around 11:30. However the problem was solved within 4 minutes, according to Morgici. “Now all the trolleybuses are on their routes”, he said at 12:00.
