In the area of the Bâc river bed, on a segment between Petru Rareș Street and Grigore Vieru Boulevard în Chisinau, activities are being carried out to evacuate the sludge accumulated as a result of the bed consolidation works upstream.
At the same time, the City Hall reported that works to consolidate the banks of the river continue. The intervention effort has reached the mouth of the Talpa Gâștei stream and is now moving on towards the Mihai Viteazul Street bridge. Interventions are still needed on an area of 250 linear meters.
The costs of this year’s consolidation works of the Bâc river bed ar estimated at about 7.5 million lei. The money is allocated from the sources of the National Ecological Fund and the municipal budget.
Also, current sanitation and landscaping works are being carried out around the Bâc river.
