Political scientist Igor Volnițchi believes that the next visit of Prime Minister Maia Sandu should not build up expectations. The fact that the meeting takes places is the greatest accomplishment in itself. At the same time, the Socialist MP Bogdan Țîrdea claims that the prime minister's visit to Moscow will boost the positive results obtained in the relationship with the Russian Federation. The Party for Action and Solidarity MP, Oazu Nantoi, is of the opinion that the dialogue between Russia and the Republic of Moldova should be based on mutual respect.

"We must take into account the fact that foreign policy, whether it is about relations with the USA, Russia, Ukraine, Romania or any other country, must be based on mutual respect and trust. If these two factors do not exist, then any foreign policy will simply not provide the expected results”, said Igor Volnițchi in the NTV Moldova program "Glavnîi vopros".

The PAS MP, Oazu Nantoi, considers that the dialogue with the Russian Federation is necessary in order to solve issues based on mutual respect and respect for each others interests. In his opinion, Russia and the West have grown tired of the ongoing confrontation between them and, through the Republic of Moldova, are trying several conciliatory scenarios. The parliamentarian is not very optimistic about Russia's statements regarding the liquidation of ammunition in the Transnistrian region because, according to him, such talks have previously taken place, yet have not been successful.

Socialist MP Bogdan Țîrdea argues that the visit of Maia Sandu to Moscow will amplify the positive results obtained in the relationship with the Russian Federation. In terms of positive results, the MP referred to the price of gas delivered by Russia to Moldova, access to the Russian market of several enterprises and social insurance for Moldovan migrants. "We are entering the area of normalcy. Meaning that we strive to have normal strategic relationships with our main partners. At least, the inter-parliamentary commission started to work. Additionally, we no longer have expulsion cases of journalists and diplomats and we no longer have the phenomenon of declaring foreign officials as persona non grata”, says Bogdan Țîrdea. The MP hopes that the result of the prime minister's visit to Moscow will be very positive because she represents the executive branch and has all the levers in her hands.
