“The votes for dismissing the Government can be found only at the PDM. There are no other political groups from which these votes can be secured,” PAS president Maia Sandu was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Black Box” on TV8 channel.
Even if the discussions with the PDM aren’t the most suitable solution, Maia Sandu considers this is a relatively healthy solution for replacing the Government.
“During two months, we have only discussed the Government’s incapacity and the fact that the executive should be removed. We also discuss the fact that the current Parliament does not represent the people and is not functional as it cannot find appropriate solutions for the people. We should start from here. The Government is only a consequence of the Parliament that looks as it looks and was elected by the rules of Plahotniuc. The authentic opposition in Parliament has 26 votes and it is very hard to find a real solution to this situation,” stated Maia Sandu.
The politician noted that the suitable solution for dismissing the Government hasn’t been yet found as there are insufficient votes for the purpose.
“It is very easy for us to sign this motion of no confidence. We want to remove this sinful Government. Everyone has reasons to believe that the current Government should be dismissed. We need votes not only for proposing the motion. We also need votes to dismiss the Government or risk allowing this impotent executive to stage one more show, as it happened when an attempt was made to dismiss the minister of health,” stated Maia Sandu.
