The joint candidate of the center-right opposition for President Maia Sandu said she wants an honest President, noting that the stake of the presidential elections is very big. After casting her ballot, the politician said she voted for upright persons to come and manage the country, IPN reports.

“I voted for restoring the Moldovan people’s confidence that our country deserves a chance. I voted for the future. I voted for us to be able to live with dignity at home. I want to tell all the voters not to be afraid and to come today and vote so that we together bring things in Moldova in order. We showed that the ordinary people, with few resources, but with common sense and good intentions can make a difference. Let’s take one more step and show to those who are corrupt and thieves that we are many in number,” stated Maia Sandu.

The candidate added that she pleads for good relations with all the countries and these should be built on mutual respect.

Addressing the undecided voters, Maia Sandu said nobody can take a decision instead of them and, only by choosing a President, will they be able to call this to account. If she does not win the elections, Maia Sandu said she will respect the decision of the voters, but, together with other honest people, will struggle for the country to change.
